A Long Island church is $3 million richer – thanks to a generous parishioner who hit the lottery and donated his winning ticket.
$30 million Lotto ticket sold in Waco
Business at the Waco store that sold Wednesday night’s $30 million winning Lotto ticket has been brisk this morning, said a clerk at the EZ Stop.
Other lottery players are apparently hoping the store can bring them luck, too, said the clerk, who said he could not give out his name. EZ Stop is at 3730 N. 19th St.
Lottery sales hit record; scratch tickets in lead
Lottery ticket sales in Minnesota reached a record amount for fiscal year 2008, with $461.5 million sold, lottery officials said this afternoon.
That total is 9.2 percent more than the 2007 sales amount, the Minnesota State Lottery said.

“That lady [the clerk] was jumping up and down,” he said. “She said ‘I can’t believe I just sold that winning ticket.”

Melbourne ticket splits $30M Lotto jackpot
He didn’t win the big prize, but that didn’t stop Gary Danley from buying a Florida Lotto ticket at the Circle K where one of the two winning tickets for a $30 million payday was sold.
The winning tickets were bought in Poinciana and at the Circle K at 4420 West New Haven Ave. in Melbourne, officials said.
