Greensburg man wins $77K in Hoosier Lotto

INDIANAPOLIS – Michael McKinsey of Greensburg liked the look of the Hoosier Lottery Scratch-off Ticket Scorching 7’s because it was number 18 in the display case at a local gas station. His son turns two October 18, so he chose that ticket, resulting in a $77,777 win.

“That lady [the clerk] was jumping up and down,” he said. “She said ‘I can’t believe I just sold that winning ticket.”

He purchased the winning Scorching 7’s ticket from BP at 915 Kathy’s Way in Greensburg.

McKinsey, a laborer for Milestone, took the ticket to several stores and friends to confirm that it was a winner.

“We were all just faint,” he said. “We couldn’t believe it.”

McKinsey plans to pay bills and get out of debt with his winnings.
