The man is hoping to keep his identity a secret.

“He does care for an elderly resident and he just has concern for his on safety didn’t want that to happen,” explained attorney Charles Bellock.

Bellock is representing the mystery man.

Instead of making a big deal about the big check, the lottery says it is becoming more and more common for winners to lay low.

“They are also protecting their privacy. They are watching the media just like everybody else and see the impact that can have on normal people’s lives,” said acting Illinois Lottery Director Jodie Winnett.

The winner and his newly created trust will take home more than $182,000 a year for the next 26 years, although that’s not exactly what his attorney recommended.

“My advice was to take it in a lump sum,” Bellock said.

The wining ticket came from Romeo Discount in the winner’s hometown of Romeoville.

It’s the same store that sold another $10 million winning ticket ten years ago.

Owner Sam Malavia is proud of his store’s luck, and how well he knows his customers but when it comes to the new winner he isn’t talking.

“He is my regular customer from Romeoville, so I’m happy that he’s a hometown regular Romeoville guy,” Malavia said.

The Illinois Lottery says it is willing to go along with privacy requests because it doesn’t want people to stop playing for fear of winning a jackpot.

The rollover occurred because no player matched all six winning numbers from Saturday night’s $2.75 million drawing.

The next Illinois Lotto will be Monday night.

Although there was no grand prize winner, 22 players matched five of the six winning numbers — good for second prizes of $1,050 apiece. Another 1,131 players matched four of the six and will receive third prizes of $37 apiece.

The winning numbers from Saturday night’s drawing were: four, 12, 20, 39, 41, and 52.

SPRINGFIELD, Ill. — The grand prize in the Illinois State Lottery’s Lotto game has grown to $4.5 million.
The rollover occurred because no player matched all six winning numbers from Monday night’s $4.25 million drawing.

The next Lotto drawing will be Wednesday night.

Although there was no grand prize winner, 12 players matched five of the six numbers and will receive second prizes of $1,162.50 apiece. Another 763 players matched four of the six – good for third prizes of $33 apiece.

The winning numbers from Monday night’s drawing were: three, 27, 33, 38, 43 and 47.
