Iowa lottery game moves to Florida

Powerball TV show host Mike Pace’s number is just about up.

Pace, who has been the national TV face of the multistate lottery game that started as Lotto America in 1987 and morphed to Powerball in 1992, will call out his last winning numbers at a West Des Moines studio in January.

Floyd County lottery players claim large prizes over past year

Linda Drewelow of Ionia was the Iowa Lottery’s biggest lotto winner in Floyd County during fiscal year 2008 (July 1, 2007-June 30, 2008), winning $10,000 in the Hot Lotto game. Drewelow purchased the ticket at Hy-Vee Gas in Charles City.
